QUESTION:
My vaio SVT1311W1ES is unable to start and says 'A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. The SSD works fine on another machine and my data is backed up. Tried resetting the BIOS to defaults, but
no change.
The problem started after the laptop was dropped. No visible signs of damage to the motherboard, connectors or components that I can see.
I've tried pressing F8 and F10 on boot up and the Assist button but get same
message in each case. Any ideas gratefully received!
