Sony Vaio additional hard drive support

QUESTION:

I bought a Sony Vaio model SVT131390X back around 2013 and the ssd recently failed on me. This time around I wanted to just use a regular hdd so I bought a wd black wd5000lplx to put inside, but when I went to install it the hard drive cannot fit into its slot. It seems to get blocked by some other part on the slot.
Here is a better image with arrows and labels

Also I removed the bracket and the same issue still exists.

SOLUTION:

Either the drive is not vertically aligned, you have not inserted the drive in the proper rails, OR

there is a small Sata adapter (small circuit board) still attached to the old drive which you have failed to notice.
