Touch Portal stopped working on SVL24116FXB

QUESTION:

I have a Sony SVL24116FXB Desktop that came with Touch Portal which includes a bunch of applications that can be operated by touching the screen.

All of a sudden Touch Screen has stopped working and I don't even see the Touch & Pen Icon in the Control Panel anymore.

It was working fine. I was able to touch anywhere on my screen and use it...

Anyone have any idea as to what happened? I re-downloaded the touch Portal app and still no luck..

Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition

SOLUTION:

What is the current operating system of your Vaio? Are you running a retail copy of Windows? Try my suggestions and see if this will work.

Reinstall driver - Go to Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices -> right click and Uninstall (DO NOT DELETE) all drivers under Human Interface Devices -> Restart the laptop. The driver/s will be reinstalled.

If you'll see an exclamation mark under Device Manager, please do the same.

 Uninstall and restart the laptop.

Make sure the laptop is up-to-date by running Vaio update and Windows update.

You may also download the drivers and software manually from eSupport site.
