Sony Vaio turns on with black screen and only the power led on
QUESTION:
Hi all, I've had my Sony Vaio PCG-61112U for
almost a year without using it but today I tried to turn it on and it did, the
problem is that there's this blank/black screen and no sounds and the only led
that’s turns on is the power one. I've heard that maybe it's corrupted BIOS,
but I actually don't remember updating it or anything like that.
Any ideas of what's causing this issue?
SOLUTION:
Checking the ram is not the solution because
if it was the ram issue , it wouldn’t have been able to show the VAIO logo. So
this is only a software issue.
HERE IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION:
Remove the battery and put it back in. press Shift + F8 +power. You should get
all the recovery and troubleshoot options.
