QUESTION:
I attempted to upgrade my VPCEB390X
with the release of the VAIO gate update (11/2010) and the installation did not
work. At this point, VAIO gate no longer works as well.
When I attempt to reinstall original software (as available on the sony web-site) for VAIO gate, it also does not work. I am unable to recover a functional version of this software.
Can anyone suggest some strategies?

SOLUTION:
Try installing the application using
compatibility mode:
Right click ".exe
file" > select properties > click compatibility > click change
settings for all user's option.
Select compatibility check box
> select Windows 7 > click check box next to run this program as
administrator > press apply and ok buttons.
