QUESTION:
My touch pad is acting erratically. I'm
not sure if it is a hardware or software problem but I would like to uninstall
and then reinstall the touchpad software to see if it will fix the problem.
I've heard that if I uninstall it and reboot Win7 will automatically reinstall it. Is that true? Or can I reinstall from the Sony's software website or from the recovery disc?

SOLUTION:
If you uninstall the touch pad driver
from device manager then the Microsoft In-box driver will be installed after
rebooting the computer. We would recommend that we reinstall the touch pad
driver using the sony driver and then follow the below steps to help prevent
the erratic movement.
1) Click on start
2) Click on Control Panel
3) Switch the "View by" in the top right hand corner to "Large icons"
4) Click on Mouse
5) Click on the "Function" Tab and uncheck "use web assistant"
6) Click on Apply
7) Click on the "Tapping" tab and uncheck "Tapping"
8) Click on Apply and OK
