Deleting a Recovery Partition

QUESTION:

I upgraded to Win10 from Win8.1 and recently upgraded to the new Win10 "feature set" version 1607.  I now have several "recovery partitions" that are taking up a lot of disk space.

I know that not all of these recovery partitions are usable now.  Can some of these recovery partitions be deleted and merged (I know how to do this).  I am just not sure which one can be safely deleted.

Any rule of thumb for this??  Just want to know.

SOLUTION:

Are you referring to Windows 10 Anniversary Update? Have you created a recovery disc for your unit?

You have the option to delete the recovery partition but we do not recommend that. Just make sure that you already created a recovery disc in case you will need to perform a full format recovery in the future.
